The
website project gave me a good look into the world of website building;
needless to say I had some issues with using the software due the fact I have
never encountered it before. I felt this was a good first experience with the
Adobe software, I feel if I had to use Photoshop, Dreamweaver or InDesign ever
again I would be confident in my ability to complete and make a project look
somewhat professional. This final project was a great way to wrap up the
semester by tying our previous project together in our website; incorporating
our social media projects and our blog into our website.
I
feel our websites will be a great tool in self-promotion once we enter the
workforce. Having one’s own website is a sign of professionalism and show would
be employers that I am so what Tec savvy. Considering I plan on joining the TV,
film field proving I can use the adobe programs and publish it to the internet
is a useful skill and will make me easier to hirer. The fact my site is
connected to my social media pages will make it easy to access and be seen by
employers. My experience in designing my site was a positive one; I had a lot
of trouble using the software but I feel like making the site was an excellent
learning experience and feel my next try at using adobe will be much more seem
less.
All
our projects this semester were quite helpful in making me more comfort table
around this software we are entering an age where these skills are getting more
and more useful; know how to start websites, Twitter accounts, Facebook pages,
and blogs will be a great commodity when trying to impress employers while less
and less good jobs become available.
